Two new live videos from Puglia 🇮🇹 (and a small favor)

Hey,

The Italian tour wrapped up its Puglia run, and the folks at Almost Halloween Time Records have been filming the whole thing. Two new videos just went up, and I wanted you to see them first.

"Carolina Peaches" — live at Barzak in Torre Santa Susanna (BR), July 24

"South Dakota" — live at Sotto l'Arco in Gioia del Colle (BA), July 18

South Dakota live at Sotto l'Arco

And if you missed it a couple of weeks back, "How Leonard Cohen Learned to Play Guitar" from that same night in Gioia is still up too.

Here's the small favor.

I've got three new singles coming this fall — September, October, and November — leading into a full album in January. There will be videos for all of them, and they'll live on my YouTube channel.

If you subscribe now, you'll actually see them when they land. YouTube is far more likely to show a new video to people who already subscribe, so every subscriber genuinely helps these songs find new ears.

One more show on the Italian run:
21/08 — Empiria, Genova

Thanks for listening, and thanks to Almost Halloween Time Records for pointing a camera at all of this.

Friends — I made a video game. Yes you read that right... You have 60 seconds to help the mystery man escape a UFO in a yellow fishing boat, off the coast of Cadaqués. Protect the mustache. game.thisfrontierneedsheroes.com It plays on a phone or a laptop, it takes a minute, and the song plays while you're out there. Tell me how many seconds you lasted — just hit reply. I want to know if I made it too hard. A few notes for the curious. The clocks floating in the water slow down time when you...

Cadaques Cowboy

Friends — The new record is called Homage to Catalonia. It's my sixth, and it comes out in January. The next song from it arrives on 18 September. It's called "Cadaqués Cowboy," and it imagines Salvador Dalí as a spaghetti-western drifter — kind of an alien, but always playing with reality. Cadaqués is the white village up the Costa Brava where Dalí kept a house. You drive over a mountain to get there, and then the road simply stops, because there's nowhere further to go. I've been in...
